We imagine Boracay was quite different a few years before we came to visit, or maybe it was the time of year (November), because it was packed – like, packed packed – with families from China, Korea, Japan, and Russia, and everything was very commercial. It’s no longer the backpacker’s paradise it was once touted to be, but an incredibly lovely island nonetheless.
